Very glum and not even the bright colours of the boldly painted houses of St John's can lift the mood!!

Tough loss in the rugby world cup this morning and a gloomy day here in Newfoundland.

Was up late last night wandering around George St: the place was more than humming at 2.30am: fantastic. The band played back at the hotel in Bradley's Admirals' suite until after 6!!!!

Lots of historic sites to visit. Had a lovely lunch in the Crow's Nest pub overlooking the harbour. It is where the naval officers and commanders discussed tactics and courses during the second world war.
