compare and contrast with the past few days (weeks...)

a gap showing green nature in between drab gray concrete office
buildings of the city...

a gap showing humanity, humour and warmth after a week of building frustration at obvious evasions...

this is all i need, just a scrap of reminder that we have a friendship here and there; a step out for coffee that starts a chat about past flirtations that prompts a mention of shared history. it might be past but that shouldn't mean it's sealed off in concrete.
