Back to Work II
The second and last stretch is from Aberdeen to the 'NW Hutton Field'. We were called at 04:15 in order to fly from Aberdeen Airport at 07:45. Way too early of course. From Aberdeen we took a charter plane to Sumburgh on the Shetland Isles. From there a helicopter to our Crane vessel 'Hermod', the same we towed last trip from Congo to Rotterdam. Finally from the 'Hermod' by personnel basket to the Retriever. The next weeks will be a busy period for the 'Hermod'. The 'NW Hutton' platform is a big platform at the end of her career and we are hired by her operator to remove all components and deliver the site exactly as it was the first couple of million years before oil was found here. The picture shown here is taken from the plane when passing over Fair Isle, you can see the airport clearly in the middle of the island.
