The Scream
This is where it happens. More and more often, I find myself getting into my car after my working day and on a few other occasions, belting myself in and sticking my earphones in, and letting out the loudest scream I can manage. I find it helps get rid of any tension I've built up - it really works. Try it. When I do it, it makes me smile.
Make sure though, that your windows are up and there aren't too many people about - I've had a few strange looks! Am I a mentalist? Probably. But I imagine that it's better that coming home full of rage and angst, or hitting the drink. I laughed quietly to myself at a Twitter pal the other day who tweeted "Rage Mode Engaged!". I mentally responded: "Pffft! That's my normal status."
Let's look at a few examples from this week:
£1370 dental bill
Rain leaking through bedroom ceiling
The realisation that the above two, means no trip to Berlin for a long weekend for our 25th anniversary next month
No day off for nine days
Not getting home in time tonight to see my granddaughter before she went to bed
And it's only Friday...
Rant over.
