spinning the wheels of...er, well pram wheels.
We were out for Vicki's birthday today. Me, Bry, Arlo, Vicki, Andy & Eve. It was a moment Vicki & I had talked about for a long time - well, since she got pregnant really. A normal (i.e boozy) lunch with the 4 of us and our children.
Who'd have thunk it? The day finally arrived. Obviously it was bliss till the children woke up and then Eve proved to be the entertainment for the day - standing up on her very own, walking about and generally being the hilarious bag of mischief and fun she always is. Arlo spent quite a bit of time sleeping. And crying. And eating. Ah, my son has so many dimensions.
I snapped this picture as we were walking along to the Old Chain Pier. The scene really made me laugh. We're used to seeing these 2 standing behind decks or computers or machines of some description, plinky plonking away and out doing each other on the tunes they can find/create/distort at parties the length and breadth of Edinburgh.
It warmed the cockles to see them spinning completely different wheels today. Mind you, they still managed to turn a simple walk with the pram into a freestyle race which I'm pretty sure Andy only won by bashing his pram wheels into Bry's.
Boy's will be boys. Thank god.
Hey - Happy Birthday Vicki - hope you had as much fun as we did xxxxxx
