Floating...

I love the way that photography forces you to stop and look. I watched this leaf floating gently along on the river for some moments, the background constantly shifting and changing.

Sometimes I wish I could just float along peacefully without all the ties and restrictions that accumulate along life's way. But I know that really I love the hustle and bustle of family life; the joy, the affection and even the difficult times.

Every now and then I have to fight my natural urge to plan and organise and achieve - and take time out to just live in the moment.The image of the floating leaf has stayed with me all day and given me that sense of calm that's been a bit lacking over the past week - all thanks to Blipfoto.
