St Kilda

This picture is of the iconic Luna Park in St Kilda, which (fingers crossed) will soon be our new neighbourhood.

After a day of flat hunting (during which we saw some absolute shockers I don't think rats would want to live in), we found a really cool studio on the third floor of a Melrose-Place-esque apartment block, overlooking the harbour, with a huge balcony....AND in our price range. We've lodged our application and now await the news....... Fingers and toes and eyes crossed!!!

St Kilda really is a very cool suburb...loads of cafes, music stores, bars and the ocean...perfect really. Plus its a 15 min tram ride into the city - great for both Ben and I (especially if I get the job I'm applying for)

On arriving in Melbourne 2 weeks ago we also did what every new Melbournite must do, and chose an AFL (Aussie Rules Football) team to support....my choice (purely on the colour scheme and pretty logo) was St Kilda....just another reason why it would be good to get this apartment and wear our Saint scarves with pride ;-)
