True Colours

Sun Goes Down

Taken after my little saunter around the "nouvelle ville" [yes, I tried to reincarnate my high school French, much to the locals amusement, and at times, bewilderment].
I found it quite amazing how the INSTANT I was outside the walls of the Medina, the city of Marrakech completely changed. From narrow alleyways that twist and turn and become so tight that barely even a bicycle can get past let alone a car, to wide straight avenues with four lanes of traffic at least [although there seemed to be very little road rules other than "Try not to hit anyone"]. From stands selling local pigeon wrapped up in pastry [actually quite nice] to supermarkets and MacDonalds. From houses that look like they're constructed from mud, to multistorey concrete hotels and office blocks.

Mental.
