throw another burger on the barbie sheila

We had a lovely day in Cairns relaxing next to the swimming lagoon (crocodile free pool) in the 33c heat of the day. All around the poolside looking out towards the sea are bbq stations- 4 bbq pads all set up and free to use. Just rock up with your stuff and cook away, you can even wash up afterwards. We were taught how to bbq the aussie way (which seems to be just cook the meat without ever turning it?) by a group of blokes who were working their way through enough sausages and steaks to feed 20 people.

Today was also the day we discovered turkish delight ice cream yummm! Oh and we may just have booked ourselves a trip to the reef tomorrow...
