Quiet celebration

I had a quiet stop in Linlithgow after work today to reflect on a challenging day. My friend successfully came through a difficult and long heart operation in the Golden Jubilee hospital today. What a relief to hear the operation had gone to plan. She continues to be part of a pioneering team (as a patient) in the heart surgery she has received over the years. Given her choice, she'd certainly prefer not to be among the first to go through these things.

Linlithgow is one of my favourite places . The church and palace are especially stunning from afar. I love driving in off the motorway and seeing this peaceful sight.
