Wood Carving Pony Village

Went to the mall today and took a picture of the wood carving from a log, to celebrate the 50th year of the Pony Village Grand Opening. It was built along a slough and as the story goes, an Indian boy saved his pony after it slid into the slough and was stuck. At least that is how I remember the story, but I think there are different versions of it. However, the carving is just great. These log carvings are very popular in this part of the country. Perhaps other places as well. There is a wood carving contest up the coast a ways every Fathers Day. It is always fun to go and watch. Hope you enjoy this one.
