Minaret

The main mosque of Brussels, the 'Islamic and Cultural Centre' which represents Muslims in Belgium. The centre, inaugurated in 1978, is situated in a lovely green corner of the Cinquantenaire Park, the site was gifted by the Belgian State.

I happen to cycle by most days on the way from the rail station at Schuman roundabout (the centre of the EU institutions) to work and find this example of 'integration' of a religious building in the urban 'green-space' relatively successful.
