Crystal Clear
To cut a long story short, my Daughter collects Swarovski Crystals, and having around 40 in a small cabinet, a few weeks before we went on holiday, I mentioned it would be good to WASH them, only in tepid water, and dry them with a soft cloth.
Well Mom got a bit heavy handed, and I broke 2, the feet of a Duck, and a flipper of a Sealion.
I trawled the Internet (as the duck was now retired), and I managed to find one on ebay.
The Duck arrived, but Jayne was suspicious of it, and looked for the hallmark, and couldnt find it.
Armed with Duck & Sealion, she visited the local Swarovski shop today, they confirmed her fears, the Duck is not an original.
So its cost me around £80 to get a fake, and get the other 2 pieces repaired professionally.
I wont be helping to clean them again.
