BATH TIME
Ooh, a good birding day today, even if I you can think of better ways to spend the day. And seeing as we don't know a soul in Norfolk, quite a chatty day too. Firstly a lady stopped to ask what we were looking at and G recognised her from a previous meeting on Mull in June. She told us she had just started as a volunteer at Titchwell, and I am sure it will suit her well, lucky her.
Then a few yards further on we stopped to look for a Great White Egret which two lads had spotted out on the marsh. During the conversation I joked that I might make photo of the week on Birdguides with my Jack Snipe photo from yesterday, and one lad said he'd had POTW with a Crane. Only turned out to be the 17 year old who got the amazing shot of the Sandhill Crane flying over his head in Aberdeenshire; and I'd voted for it!
This is the same Sandhill Crane we missed by an hour last Friday, and has not been seen since. He was a nice lad though so we won't hold a grudge.
