Dead or Alive?

We regulary get visits from Scottish Power to check that our trees don't interfere with their electricity lines and trimming takes place on an almost yearly basis. But this year is the first time they seem to take their responsiblities a lot more seriously and they have decimated rows and rows of evergreens along the Moor Road to Penicuik. I suppose we should be pleased as this is the same electricity line that eventually finishes at our house so should mean we don't loose it quite as much as usual in the coming winter. But don't those trees look sad?!
