An unusual butterfly

This guy was on the bee weed in front of the church. I haven't see one like him this year. The wings are held in a very different position from every other moth I have seen since I started chasing moths and butterflies a couple of years ago. Note: The antennas aren't hairy which I gather means butterfly.
