The Butler Did It

I find myself with way too much to see and do. This world of technology and information is wonderful and enthralling, but there's just so darned much of it! And then there is the actual world too. With people and places.

I need an assistant. To source, rate, and catalogue news and information. To pass on prime stories automatically - in both directions. To summarise and restate on request.

Apple promise me that Siri will be my personal assistant. Assuming it can understand my subtly (?) Scottish accent, and tell me more than "It looks like rain in San Francisco on Saturday!", maybe my needs will be satisfied. Although perhaps in version 2!

But then the hunt would be missing, the chase just a command, and the work removed. The sheer damned challenge is part of the point, isn't it?
