Tate Modern art fun!

I spent pretty much all of last night listening to the wind whistling and the rain beating on my window.

I was up early to go and shoot Rosa in Ilford. She is the 94 year old winner of The Times fitness club this month and is a charm to work with. I'd planned to photograph her in the park feeding the ducks (which was her daily exercise), however 12 degree temperature and biting winds confined us to her back garden.

I was back home by 12 and had finished editing and sending by 2.30pm and so decided to check out Tate Modern as it's Bank Holiday Monday.

There was a piece of performance art happening in the Turbine hall as I arrived, which seemed to constitute people in paper dinner jackets being instructed on how to walk, in minute detail. The dinner jacketed situationists were easy to bump into in their mindless states.

This reinactment of a George Romero movie was followed by a far more delightful fall of shredded paper snow from the ceiling and the passage of swathes of paper like Chinese dragons, the length of the building. Kids and adults were equally enthralled (amazing what a roll of newsprint and the contents of your shredder can do in the right context).
