Understairs revealed

We have been very busy again this week (hence the lapse in blips).
However, we managed to reveal this beautiful understair snug area by ripping away the cladding and other rubbish which has been added over the decades.
The house was built in 1709, the staircase was added in 1857, and has been hidden beneath 20th century garbage ever since.
As the building is listed there is a limit to the amount we can do. So rather than replace, we decided to expose all the old features.
