Lake Bala.....in the rain

Day 1 of short cycling tour with my cycling mate, Gosey. Cycled from home to Bala in the pouring rain and high winds and up the worst hill I can ever remember climbing in the world. It is between Dinas Mawddwy and Bala and beyond Pont y Pennant, goes on for around four miles and it's difficult to keep your front wheel on the ground. In fact Gosey fell off backwards because of the incline! Minor injuries included elbow, hip, calf, helmet, pride but all cured by two pints of Brains later in the evening.

This is the end of Lake Bala which I took on arrival .....but I also took some on departure...the following day.
