After yesterdays depressing upload .........

This sculpture is across the road from the building that Pope John Paul II used to reside in when in Krakow.

This statue is a bit older and is on the wall outside one of the many, many churches within the town.

The day was hot so refreshments were partaken on theroof of a department store which is a step-back in history to the 1970s. The layout and goods are definate 1970s.

The university had stalls set up in the square to try and recruit students. The Geology lot got attention by having gold panning. They had salted the sand with real bits of gold (very small) which people were able to keep if they found it.

Coffee is as popular as beer in the bars and the No Smoking idea is completely alien to the Poles.
