Heavenly Hosta

Late blip tonight. The hosta's are unfurling for the Summer. Usually I'm a bit of a native plant fan but these introduced plants are amongst my favourites. The diversity of leaf & colour never ceases to amaze me.
Today I feel very saddened by the 'Rena' maritime disaster unfolding in the North Island. The toll of wildlife & environment disturbing. K
