Contemporary Makonde

Makonde carving is probably the best known art work produced in Tanzania. They are now producing more contemporary pieces alongside the traditional work and our friends brought us this fine speciman.
Think it will be an early night tonight. The dog was up 4 times during the night with an upset stomach!! Wee soul but he seems much better now.
