Why?

On my regular lunchtime walk through Bracondale Woods I caught a glimpse of red through the trees, and had to go and investigate. Even from a distance it ws obviously way too big to be the Fly Agraric that I so much want to blip (I shall just keep hoping ...) - and when I got there I discovered this 'growing' up though the Ivy. Which begs just one question. WHY? Why, why, why do we the human race have such a knack of spoiling something beautiful with our thoughtlessness? Sometimes I think this planet would be so much better off without us. *gives a big sigh*
At least one beautiful thing which was unspoiled by humans tonight was another gorgeous sunset.
