Mains Castle

Mains Castle belonged to the Lindsays of Dunrod in 1382. They sold the property in 1695 to pay off debts. It was unroofed in 1723 and fell into ruin, although some repairs were carried out in the 19th century. It was restored in the 1960's and remains occupied as a private house.
