Aspens in Changing Weather

The weather report was promising snow. I don't like to believe such reports, but the temperature dropped 20 degrees and the predictions seemed to be coming true. We discussed, and then decided to high tail it out of the backcountry. We hiked out 16 miles in one day. This was a record for us. We got out right at nightfall, drove to lodging and got a room, five minutes before the "Snack Bar" and lodging clerk locked up and went home.
