Left to the Leaves
It was back to the car hsopital for the Renault this morning. The garage is in a narrow laneway off Chatham Street in town. It was tricky enough on Friday finding somewhere to leave the car while I spoke to the main man, but that was nothing compared to today. The lane was jam packed, so was the garage, and I had to drive round the block again before I could find a spot. It was pretty clear because of the number of cars already lined up in the garage that I wouldn't get the car back today, and sure enough, there was no word one way or the other by 6:00 pm, which is the time the place shuts down. Tomorrow hopefully.
I was close to the National Concert Hall, so I dropped in there after leaving the car off and got myself a ticket for a concert on the 28th. Recent changes to Dublin Bus routes have benefited me, since what used be the number 20 has now been combined with the number 14 and now goes across the city right over to Dundrum, passing the Concert Hall on the way, so I got a bus right back home after getting my ticket.
I dropped in to the local shop for a few essentials when I got off the bus. I came across these abandoned runners in the lane near home. Intrigued, I put down my heavily laden bag and grabbed a quick blip. I wonder what possessed the owner to abandon/discard/lace them there like that? Strange.
