Treasure Trove #7: Another Pinboard
This pinboard has not lived under the stairs for twenty years, in fact it has served as the cover to the entrance to that very space for that time. This is a snap shot of how it looked yesterday, as it changes regularly. I left it a little late in the day to photograph, and had to use the in-camera flash which has resulted in some flare, unfortunately.
Some of the items here were given to me - for example the prints of Scully (Gillian Anderson, top left) and Katherine Parkinson (top right, beside a scooter that has no number plates); the signed picture of Samantha Janus; and the calculating device hanging from the top over the PJ Harvey postcard which tells you on what day of the week dates fell on.
The 'Keep of the Grass' label dates from my time at art college, when it was part of some project or other, while the badges include one at the top that says I've Reached The Heights - Salisbury Cathedral, given to me after I had heroically completed a guided tour despite a severe vertigo attack. The lady consuming the Stella Artois is the excellent actress Anna Friel, perhaps still best remembered here for her time in Liverpudlian soap Brookside but probably known in America more for the TV series Pushing Daisies.
There's an earlier glimpse of it here.
