We Will Rock You!
Took the train to Montreux today and walked along the lake front. A beautiful place for a stroll. I can see why Freddie Mercury liked it so much
This statue, by sculptor Irena Sedlecka, has been erected as a tribute to Fred. It's 3 metres high and overlooks Lake Geneva. Unveiled on 25 November 1996 by Freddie's father and Montserrat Caballé, fans from around the world gather annually to pay tribute as part of the "Freddie Mercury Montreux Memorial Day" on the first weekend of September.
