Rain, pizza & coffee

I know this collage is a total miss-match, color & subject wise BUT...

... when I look back, a year from now, I want to remember the things that made me happy I am alive today!

Woke up to the sound of soft rain (I luvvv rain!) and the smell of nature. Rain in autumn/winter here in Johannesburg is not common, so that by itself was special to start with. It was cold outside and the bed felt good - warm and cozy. Mr Snippets suggested pizza - pizza! This time of the morning? Yeah! Why not - picked up the phone and ordered pizzas - it was just the two of us - the kids were out - we will have the pizza's all to ourselves :) And so we had pizzas in bed! and he made us some nice strong coffee afterwards! Never done this before. I looked at him and thought - how special is it to share life with him. Can't descibe the feeling, but if you can imagine mixing soft rain, the smell of nature, pizza, coffee and love... well, then you will know what I'm talking about!

To add to the magic of the day, I had 3 new birds visiting my garden! I think they are called Green Wood-hoopoe - large birds, with the most amazing colors - I managed to blip one of them, the best I could get in this weather (bad light).

Bottom line...? little things in life are special - but we never stop and 'see' the moment. When last did you look at your partner and see the person behind him/her - the person you fell in love with (for me 27 years ago) - can you remember what it was that made him/her special and why you fell in love with that person?

He or she still has that something special it you know...
