Walk home (through) around the city

Took my car in to St Asaph St to be serviced and walked home - not through the city for obvious reasons (wonder when we'll be able to do that again?), but around the city.

This is some of what I saw!

1 Old Barbados St cemetery - a lot of history here, but so many of the monuments are broken, new damage obvious and stones lying where they've fallen.

2 The view through the fences, down Worcester St towards what's left of the cathedral.

3 The war memorial - the Bridge of Remembrance - damaged but not felled and hopefully going to be retained though at a cost of apparently millions of dollars. At the foot of the fence, wreaths and cards to remember those who died.

4 The art gallery (and a kind of SP!) the maze also reflecting what it's like to go through the bureaucracy of trying to get your life and home back!
