Mahonia

I noticed today that the Mahonia japonica (?sp) is in flower.

When I bought it I expected the flowering to be in Winter, roundabout January, but it is usually over by then. I don't remember it starting to flower as early as this, the beginning of October.

However, now I have blipped it, I shall have a permanent record to compare flowering times in the future.

(Not the best of photos, I know, but the subject is not easy to photograph and there was a breeze blowing).
