Virgin and Child, Burrell Collection, Glasgow

The rain stopped for a while this afternoon, so we waded along the flooded paths and road leading to the Burrell Collection. I can't understand why the City Council can't sort out the drainage problems around one of our most visited museums. Must write to my contact.

Another of my favourite exhibits, a limestone sculpture, French, Île de France, c.1325-50. I like the situation, alongside the woodland area, affording natural light although rather grey today.
