I managed to get a bit of painting done today. I have realised that if I choose my moment and am quiet about it, no proverbial singing and dancing, then the kids don't notice that I am occupied by something only involving me. For five minutes. Then they inevitably want know what I could possibly be doing that doesn't involve them. I am not bothered at all by this and really love watching them enjoy drawing and painting as much as I do.

This is a drawing of a farm that Rudy made for Alice. Such an outward gesture of kindness towards his sister have not been so frequent recently. Therefor, this made me very happy. And Alice? Well she growled at the drawing, scuttled off whilst muttering her most recent oratory experiments

Well, I like it even if she's not so graciously receptive.
