Wonderful Woman

Mum's 70 today.
We celebrated in Sheffield at my brothers.
7 adults and 8 kids.
It was low key, Mum didn't want fuss.
Missed Dad, as did Mum obviously.
He was definitely missing today.

Mum's more than amazing.
After being by Dad's side nearly every waking moment for six months as his body faded and died, then getting through his funeral with utter grace, she turned housewife, child carer and nurse for me and my little family just 3 weeks later. She's more than amazing and wonderful. No words, just tears of admiration and gratitude. x
