Who were you?

The passage of many feet has exposed a skull buried in the dry ground of Sicily.

Who were you - Carthaginian, Greek, Roman, Norman, Arab, one of Garibaldi's thousand, German or British soldier, victim of the Cosa Nostra? I will never know.
