Workers of All Lands ...
I went to the grave of Karl Marx in Highgate Cemetery today. Its an annual pilgrimage on or around the date of my Grandad's Birthday.
He was a lifelong Communist and had fought against Franco and the Fascists in Spain in the 1930's. His funeral was some event with a 'Guard of Honour' and a rousing rendition of 'The Internationale' from his old Comrades. Our tears were those of pride and sorrow.
His ashes were spread at St. James' Park. He's now the twelfth man for Newcastle United.
