I have a feeling I've used this quote already - but that's ok because I've blipped a striated thornbill in the maple already as well. ;-)

It's been a grey, drizzly, and rainy day - which seems to bring out the thornbills (among other birds), and sure enough, I heard them chittering in the maple, so I went outside with my camera. This was really the only decent shot I got, but I am quite happy with it; I like the way the nearer and out of focus leaves are framing the thornbill.
