First Friday - Blowing Glass

On the First Friday of each month, most of the art galleries and museums in Phoenix stay open from 6-10 pm for free. We had intended to make use of the free trolleys, but a neighbor told us about the glass blowing studio down the street, so we decided to head there first. The people there seemed excited to show Bob their craft. He saw them make two pieces and he was most interested in how much those pieces would cost. They said they would have to let them cool and make a price tomorrow when they see how pretty they are.

I cannot imagine what their utility bills must been to run the furnace at 2100F constantly.

By the time we finished watching the glass blowing demonstration, it was time for dinner. Then it was time for Bed. Maybe next month we will get a baby sitter and James and I can have a more exciting evening!
