Fire day

We have this semi-demi meadow and the weeds just grew and grew. Our neighbour (see a previous blip) cut it down and now 2 weeks later it was all ready for burning PLUS our weedy bank. My partner is well into fires so we had quite a conflagration before the forecast rain and the end result is scorched earth and happy neighbours (who can blame them?).
Brilliant timing-the weather's kicked in and it's p***ing down like there's no tomorrow.
