Marble

A day of gentle errands, with another visit to see Precious Light. Good stuff.

On the recommendation of my barber, Bernie, I went looking for Are Ye Dancin?, a history of the old dance halls of Scotland. Sounds like an ideal gift for Mother.

While I couldn't find a copy in ThinsBlackwells, I did have a good peruse of an old OS map of the neighbourhood where I grew up, Broughton. Seems there was a marbleworks opposite my old house back in the 1890s.

Martin Creed's Work No. 1059, or the tarted up Scotsman Steps. I like the idea of art that needs a good clean every day.
