dancing on the other side of the world

i took my first ballet class in chinese! since in all my years of studying chinese i was never taught the body parts, understanding the teacher was a challenge, but i made it through!

as i've mentioned before, ballet isn't very popular in china, so finding a studio to dance at was a challenge. the studio where this photo was taken is actually a converted apartment! the class i took was pretty decent.

this vacation gave me time to indulge in my hobbies, but once classes pick-up again, i'll see if i have time to make the hour commute to this dance studio.
