No imagination required
Just a few days ago, I was marvelling in the fact that our children had created their own car when I banned them from playing in mine (Improvisation - Saturday 1st October). Today I'm bemoaning the fact that we provide things for them so that they needn't bother.
This is the microphone that we bought for Becky to go to school tomorrow dressed as Gabrialla from High School Musical as her favourite book character for her school's World Book Day celebration. Two things to note: firstly, some schools had World Book Day last week so I don't know who is right and, secondly, we did actually find a book that featured Gabriella as a character, despite our protestations that Gabriella actually features in a film.
So we bought the microphone because, unlike me when I was seven, we don't have a kettle with a lead that can be used as a microphone; I used to use my kettle lead microphone to play the part of Little Jimmy Osmond singing Long Haired Lover From Liverpool.
They say that confession is good for the soul but now I just feal cheap and dirty now that that secret is in the public domain.
