Allen Banks after the rain

We're on a stay-at-home holiday this week, so we ventured out to our favourite woods - Allen Banks, near Langley in Northumberland. We had to take shelter when the rain came down, so I took a photograph. The rain made the green of the leaves absolutely glow.

I would like to go back in a few weeks to see the woods in all their autumnal glory, but it was pretty lovely today - rust coloured leaves on the footpaths, floating in the River Allen.
