Succumbed!
Today at 5:40 a.m. when I went swimming I was met with something I have dreaded--having to scrape the ice off the car windows! I was afraid it would freeze, so the tomatoes were snuggly covered up--the frost in the garden didn't seem as bad as in the front. So------- when I came home from swimming, the house was 60 degrees and my goosebumps were too large to ignore! This is the first fire of the season in our wood stove--I am relishing every degree the temperature rises in my house--it's at 68 degrees and the goosebumps have subsided! I guess my kicking and protesting against the advent of fall/winter needs to take a back seat--I love wood heat--it is so warm.
My daughter living in Utah called this morning to say it was snowing at her house!!
I learned something about picture taking as well--I hated the way the fire looked when the flash came up, so I put the camera on NO FLASH, but then the sound of the lens was really weird--figured out it was taking a long time to take the picture--hence the jiggly look. But the fire is what I wanted to highlight! I guess I need a tripod!
