It's not the weekend yet. However, puja holidays of the kids end today and they'll be back to school from tomorrow. So, make a trip down to Singda altogether. On the way encounter Mukna (wrestling) championship at Samushang and halt there for sometime, which delayed our reaching the hill station well after the sun's gone down the western mountain. This western mountain has always been the bane in the late afternoon always making sundown earlier than other places and throwing the Singda dam waters into darkness rendering photography useless. The problem is best illustrated in this picture which was taken well before we begun the incline up the hills. Here we see the sunlight and up there in the mountains where the dam is there's literally no light (being obstructed by the high mountains).
The good news is the waters are high up (after the rains) and are emerald colored, perfect for another visit on a suitable day - but earlier in the day!
