Sic Transit...

The weather in Edinburgh has been usually bad this week. Very heavy showers show little sign of easing up and are blown through on gusty, increasingly cold, winds. The sky is frequently bruised with dark clouds, with only a rare glimpse of lighter blue.

This was the view from my office this afternoon - matching the general mood of so many today, as lots of blips show. I suppose this community would feel the death of Steve Jobs particularly strongly, given how many of us are Apple fans (or fanatics).

But his death speaks to many others too , certainly of loss , but also of how even the most talented, and the most wealthy, come to an end that awaits us all.
