Monkey

A baby drill monkey at Edinburgh Zoo. The new arrival hasn't got a name yet. It wants to explore but so far mum is keeping it close at hand. Dad on the other hand mostly stays aloof. Drill monkeys are the rarest and most endangered primates in Africa and are rare in zoo collections including just three zoos in the UK. This first baby at Edinburgh Zoo is therefore of added significance in the effort to preserve the species.
