Old project revisited
I started this needlepoint canvas a few years back when I first started working at The Needlepoint Joint (the yarn shop on 25th Street). The one thing I wasn't comfortable with was pulling threads for needlepoint canvases. So, I started this one as a way to learn the process. There is a system to it, and now I can pull threads and estimate quantities quite easily. But, it was a real challenge back then.
Well, it has been screaming at me lately to finish it, so today was the day. I am working around the border, and then will do the ring of flowers with the ribbon, then the center flowers, then the background (navy blue). When its finished, I'll have it made into a pillow. We have a lady at the shop who does an expert job of finishing, and she can really make it look gorgeous. I've still got quite a ways to go, but just have to keep plugging away. Every little bit helps.
And, as long as you've got unfinished projects, God lets you live! So, I should be good for quite some time, yet.
