Homecoming Hooligans

Picking a picture for today was a challenge. The day started off early with the Homecoming parade, which was themed "We are Family," thus we all dressed up as members of families. If you've been paying attention you'll remember that seeing The Lion King re-released in 3D made quite the impression on me, so it's really no surprise that I chose to be Mufasa and recruited two friends to be Scar and Simba.

Minutes before the parade, we discovered that our float didn't hitch correctly to the truck that pulled it, so we had to abandon the float all together and march behind the truck. Fun was had by all, and in the surprise of the century..we actually won second place. For our floatless float. In a float competition.

Later that day I went to the Homecoming football game (which we won!) and then drove up to Lolo pass with Chris and his parents who were visiting from Colorado. The scenery and lighting was stunning and we got some spectacular shots, but I just couldn't deprive you of this little peek into my Homecoming parade madness...
